As of July 2019, Killian Hill Christian School became an ALICE certified organization. ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) provides multilayered instruction and planning for organizations to more proactively handle the threat of an aggressive intruder or active shooter. In order to become an ALICE certified organization our Security Director, Marc Gershman became an ALICE certified instructor. Our staff completed their own individual online training, and our entire team participated in ALICE certification drills. Our ALICE training and certification is just one of many steps that we have taken to improve and enhance our security plan.
