KHCS MISSION STATEMENT

Killian Hill Christian School, as a ministry of Killian Hill Baptist Church, exists to assist parents in their God-given responsibility of educating their young people by providing a high-quality spiritual and academic program, enhanced by balanced fine arts and athletics, while encouraging them to live disciplined, Christ-centered lives.

Each step is intentionally designed to help you clearly understand the culture, benefits, values, and requirements intrinsic to the KHCS education. Please be advised that the application is not considered complete until all documents are received and the family interview is conducted. Student must reach minimum appropriate age by September 1st.

Admissions Checklist

1. Submitting an application

Traditional Student – Applications for all grades should be submitted via the online application at www.khcs.org under the “Apply Today” tab. In order for an application to be submitted, $150 application and testing fee (per student) will be paid online when you have completed the application. As part of the application process you will need to upload medical document and request records from your child’s current school. Student must reach minimum appropriate age by September 1st.

International Student –  Applications for all grades should be submitted via the online application at www.khcs.org under the “Apply Today” tab. In order for an application to be submitted, $650 application and testing fee (per student) will be paid online when you have completed the application. As part of the application process you will need to upload your child’s passport and request records from your child’s current school translated into English for two previous years and the current year they are attending.  Student must reach minimum appropriate age by September 1st.

2. Testing

Traditional Student –  Students applying for 1st through 12th grade will be tested in Reading Comprehension, Language, and Math. You will receive a call to schedule testing within one to two days after you have submitted the application.

International Student – You will receive a link for your child’s online tests after you have submitted the application. International students are required to take two online tests: An English, Language, and Math Standardized test, and an English proficiency test to determine the student’s ESL level.

3. Documentation

Traditional Student – You must submit the following documents: birth certificate (K4, K5, & 1st grade only), recommendation letter (K4 & K5 only), immunization form 3231, meningitis vaccine (labeled MCV4), meningitis booster (11th grade only), hearing, vision, dental, and nutrition form 3300, and school transcripts.

International Student – You must submit the following documents: birth certificate, passport, school transcripts (in English), SEVIS worksheet, and a bank statement showing the sponsor’s financial ability to support an I-20 student.

4. Interview 

Traditional Student –  After the application has been submitted, testing has been completed, and records have been received the admissions office will call to schedule the family interview with the principal for your student’s grade. Parents and applicants are required to attend the interview.

International Student –  After the application has been submitted, testing has been completed, and records have been received including – a copy of the passport and a copy of the birth certificate in English the Secondary School principal will then conduct a Skype interview with those overseas students or a face to face interview if the student is in the USA.

6. Acceptance

Traditional Student  –  Acceptance of the applicant is based on the interview, test scores, transcript or report card grades, discipline and attendance records, and recommendations for the applicable grades. Killian Hill Christian School does not discriminate against any person based on sex, race, age, or national origin.

*We begin accepting applications in October for the upcoming school year. A waitlist will be maintained when a grade level becomes full.

International Student –  Acceptance of the applicant is based on the interview, test scores, transcript or report card grades, availability of space in the class, and recommendations for the applicable grades. 7. Enrollment

Traditional Student –  Immediately after acceptance, the family will be asked to meet with an admissions advisor and fill out the enrollment forms online.  The enrollment fee will also be collected once you complete the enrollment forms. The student is not officially enrolled at Killian Hill Christian School until the enrollment process is completed.

International Student – Immediately after acceptance, the family will be asked to complete the enrollment forms online.  The enrollment fee of $950 will also be collected once you complete the enrollment forms. The student is not officially enrolled at Killian Hill Christian School until the enrollment process is completed.
