Home School / AES Program

Home School / AES program

Hello parents and home school / alternative education students (AES)!

Thank you for your trust in us as an athletic home for high school sports. We participate in the GAPPS (Georgia Association of Private and Parochial Schools) league for our athletic teams, and because of recent changes in the league and region classifications, we are able to offer the opportunity to your AES  athlete to participate in Cougar Athletics with us. I want to thank you for your interest in our athletics program and inform you of our process whereby we can offer the opportunity of high school sports participation.

GAPPS now administers eligibility, so you can navigate to the following webpage:

AES Application

Fill out the application, and GAPPS will inform our school that we have an eligible athlete. This does not guarantee a spot on the team, as GAPPS allows us only to fill an incomplete roster with AES students, and we are not allowed to cut any KHCS students in order to include an AES student on our roster.

After meeting with me and a member of the KHCS leadership team, trying out for the sport, and submitting the athletics fee (per sport), we look forward to working together toward the goal of using high school athletics to glorify our Lord Jesus Christ and pressing on toward excellence in athletics!

If you have any questions about how our AES program works here at KHCS, please feel free to contact me at bjohns@khcs.org. I am happy to work with you to help your student become a thriving part of our Cougar Athletics family!
