John Allan - Science Teacher/Academic Dean
John Alan was born in Ocala, Florida. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida. He is the Academic Dean, Science Department Head, one of our science teachers, National Honor Society sponsor, and quiz bowl coach. Mr. Allan has a desire for his students to love science, and many students who graduate from KHCS say they were thoroughly prepared for their college science classes. He and his wife, Kim, have four children, Jake, Abigail, Anna, and Amelia. He enjoys reading and cycling.

Akberet Andegiorgs - Teacher's Aid
Akberet Andegiorgs is from Eritrea where she taught first grade for six years and also worked in a literacy program for adults. In 2010, she moved to the United States and has lived in Georgia since then. She married her husband, Binyam, in 2014, and they have three children together – two boys and a girl. When Akberet has free time, she enjoys shopping, going on walks with her children, and spending time with her family.


Lori Anderson

Lori Anderson - Preschool Director & K4 Teacher
Lori Anderson was born and raised in New Jersey. She holds a master’s degree in special education from Bob Jones University and has ten years of teaching experience. As the preschool director, Mrs. Anderson spends her time teaching character and foundational concepts to the youngest on the Hill. Her husband, Chris, is the lead pastor at KHBC and they have four daughters, Rebekah, Rachel, Esther, and Grace. She enjoys spending time cooking and baking for her family.

Rachel Anderson - K5 Teacher
Rachel Anderson grew up in Grayson Georgia. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. Rachel loves to show students the love of Christ while making learning fun for everyone. She has three sisters and one dog. During her downtime, she enjoys reading and playing guitar.


Stephanie Ayers

Stephanie Ayers - Second Grade Teacher
Stephanie Ayers grew up in Bainbridge, Georgia. She graduated from Valdosta State University with a bachelor of science degree in early childhood education and has over nineteen years of teaching experience in both public and private elementary schools. She and her husband, Dan, who is a physician assistant, have two adult daughters, Maddie and Caroline. When asked about what she would like for us to share with you about herself she said, “ I love teaching, I love Jesus, and I am excited to be at KHCS!


Jim Bailey

Jim Bailey - Boys P.E. Teacher
Jim Bailey was born in Chesapeake, Virginia. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree. He has spent thirty five of his forty-three teaching years at KHCS. He and his wife, Linda, have two sons, Allan and Kyle, who are both alumni of KHCS and educators as well. In his downtime, he enjoys golfing and spending time with his granddaughter.


Jenée Baker

Jenée Baker - Advancement Director
Jenée Baker was born in New Rochelle, New York. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology and also a degree in scientific visualization computer graphics. Mrs. Baker has been at KHCS for over twelve years as a parent and seven years as an employee. She and her husband, Berkley, have three children, Josiah, Amanda, and Amarie. During her free time, she enjoys watching her children play soccer and piano.


Melody Baker
5th Grade Teacher
Melody Baker - 5th Grade Teacher
Melody Baker was born in Atlanta, Georgia and has lived in the area all of her life, except while attending college at Bob Jones University. She has taught both second and fifth grades and has over thirty years of teaching experience. She loves the educational process and seeing her students experience “aha” moments. Melody and her husband, Mike, have two cats, Boo and Higgins. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to music, and practicing calligraphy.


Deborah Ballew

Deborah Ballew - 3rd Grade Teacher
Deborah Ballew was born in Waterford, Michigan. She holds a bachelor of science in elementary education and a master’s degree in education. Mrs. Ballew is currently in her thirty-first year at KHCS, and her love of reading is contagious. She and her husband, Tom, have two sons, Matt and Micah. During her free time, she enjoys reading, sewing, and crafting.


Pauletta Blakney

Pauletta Blakney - Specials Teacher
Pauletta Blakney (PJ) has lived in GA for five years, after her family relocated from Tulsa, Oklahoma. She has been married to her husband, Warren Jr., for 15 years, and they have two beautiful children, Ryleigh, and Warren III who attend KHCS. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family including her dog named Toby, staying involved with her church family where her husband is the youth pastor at their church, and traveling.
