Katie Atwood - K5 Teacher’s Aide

Katie Atwood is a native of Georgia and an alumnus of KHCS. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in public health with a minor in French from University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky. She has worked with preschoolers for over a decade, and has a heart for teaching children about Jesus. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and dog, reading, gardening, sewing, cooking, and writing.

Katy Hansen

Katy Hansen - K5 Kindergarten Teacher

Katy Hansen was born in Detroit, Michigan and grew up in Stone Mountain, Georgia. She attended the University of Georgia for early childhood education and has a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in human resource management from American Intercontinental University. She worked twenty-five years in the financial services industry. She and her husband, John, have a son, Ben, who attends KHCS. She has two dogs and several chickens and enjoys being outside. Mrs. Hansen spends her free time doing youth group activities and events at church.

Deblilia Tingingnow - K4 Teacher’s Aide & Extended Care Coordinator

Deblilia Tingingnow, or Debbie, grew up on the beautiful island of Yap. She started to go to Yap Baptist Church when she was a child because she liked the brownies that they gave out at the kids club. She was saved when she was thirteen when her cousin came home from Bible College and led her to the Lord. She continued to go to church and grew in her faith. After high school, she decided to go to Guam and attend Harvest Baptist Bible College. She graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She enjoys swimming and working with children. 


Margaret Snyder

K5 Kindergarten Teacher

Margaret Snyder - K5 Kindergarten Teacher

Margaret Snyder is from Greenville, South Carolina. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood education. Ms. Snyder is passionate about helping young children learn, especially teaching them to read books, and she loves giving them opportunities to explore God’s creation. In her free time, she enjoys running, gardening, and playing the violin.

Sheila Janifer

Sheila Janifer - K4 Preschool Teacher

Shelia Janifer was born in Anniston, Alabama and has resided in Gwinnett County for over 30 years. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Office Administration from Jacksonville State University. With her eighteen years of homeschooling, she directed a community of 30+ children and over 15 families with the Classical approach to learning. She and her husband, Mark, have two adult daughters and one son.  In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, discovering new recipes, and exploring new adventures outside.

Akberet Andegiorgs

Akberet Andegiorgs - Preschool Teacher's Aide

Akberet Andegiorgs is from Eritrea where she taught first grade for six years and also worked in a literacy program for adults. In 2010, she moved to the United States and has lived in Georgia since then. She has three children enrolled at KHCS. When Akberet has free time, she enjoys shopping, going on walks with her children, and spending time with her family.


Lori Anderson

Preschool Director & K4 Teacher

Lori Anderson - Preschool Director & K4 Teacher

Lori Anderson was born and grew up in New Jersey. She holds a master’s degree in special education from Bob Jones University and has many years of teaching experience. As the preschool director, Mrs. Anderson spends her time teaching character and foundational concepts to the youngest on the Hill. She and her husband, Chris, have four adult daughters who are all graduates of KHCS. In her free time, Lori enjoys spending time with her family and cooking and baking.
