Anca Cocian - Bookends
Anca Cocian was born in Romania. She is currently in her second year as our Bookends supervisor. She ensures the students complete their homework, as well as enjoy a snack and some fun times in the after-care program. She and her husband, Cristian, have two children, Gabriella and Christine. During her free time, she enjoys challenging her crafty side to see what she can create.

Julie Boley - 4th Grade Teacher
Julie Boley grew up in Royersford, Pennsylvania. She holds a Bachelor of Science in music education, and has been teaching for over twenty years, more than a decade here at Killian Hill. While teaching science, Mrs. Boley has creative and engaging projects for her students to complete. She and her husband, Alan, have four children. During her downtime she enjoys playing the flute.

Janeen Dawson - Librarian
Janeen Dawson was born in Atwater, Ohio. She holds a Bachelor of Science in physical education. She has taught for twenty nine years, twenty two at KHCS! She is always at work updating the books in the library, and making the library one of our students’ favorite places. She and her husband, Doug, have three children, Jared, Jonna and Jake. During her free time she enjoys mountain biking, kayaking, hiking and reading.
Nick Brown - Elementary Principal
Nick Brown is passionate about holistic education. Throughout his childhood as a missionary kid in South Africa, Mr. Brown experienced many different styles of schooling, and the perspective he gained through that exposure taught him the importance of experiential and pedagogical education. His speech education undergraduate degree opened the door for him to lead the speech and drama department for four years at the same school as Dr. Abels on the island of Guam. During that time, he taught English, speech, research & writing, and psychology as well as completed his master’s degree in secondary education. Mr Brown is enthusiastic about engaging teaching, life-touching-life mentoring, and personal productivity. He and his wife, Julia, have three children, Jace, Nora, and Ethan. He enjoys creative writing, reading, and working on his newly started PhD.

Morgan Leatherwood - Girls P.E. Teacher
Morgan Leatherwood was born in Maryland. She holds her Bachelor of Science in elementary education. She is currenty working (and close to finishing!) her master’s in sport studies. She has been teaching at Killian Hill for two years. She spends a lot of time after school coaching various girls teams, helping them improve their sports skills. During her time off the hill she enjoys photography.
Megan Keeney - ESL/Computer Teacher
Megan Keeney was born in Westminster, Maryland. She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education with an EXOL endorsement and CELTA certification. Ms. Keeney has been teaching at Killian Hill for five year and is our ESL program director. During her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, drinking coffee, and occasionally skydiving.
Boys P.E. Teacher
Jim Bailey - Boys P.E. Teacher
Jim Bailey was born in Chesapeake, Virgina. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Bob Jones University. He is always busy on the Hill with his various P.E. groups as well as coaching several sports teams. He has spent thirty of his thirty-eight teaching years at KHCS. He and his wife, Linda, have two sons, Allan and Kyle. In his downtime, he enjoys golfing and spending time with his sweet granddaughter.
Carolyn Quillin - K5 Teacher
Carolyn Quillin was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. She has a Bachelor of Science in elementary education. Mrs. Quillin has been teaching for over thirty years and has a cheerful manner with her students whether in the classroom or on the playground. She and her husband, Jim, have three children, Stephanie, Matt, and Drew. During her free time, she enjoys scrap-booking and gardening.

Jeannine Christian was born in Buffalo, New York. She has a Bachelor of Science in education. She has been teaching for over twenty years and has been involved at KHCS for most of that time. She and her husband, Gary, have two children, Nicole and Grant. During her free time, she enjoys crafting, sewing, and baking.
