New Year, Same Purpose – Pastor Kwame

Praise God! We’ve made it to a new year! We have a lot to celebrate in looking back at the previous semester, and we have more to look forward to as we settle into this semester. One reality we can look forward to is the continual hope that drives what we do here at Killian Hill Christian School.

If you remember, our theme for the school year is “Be Informed,” and our focus is to be informed about Jesus and the power of His resurrection. We get this from Philippians 3:10. We want to remind our students and ourselves about the glorious truths in the gospel: Our God has revealed His love by sending His Son to live a righteous life, to die for our sins, and be raised victoriously.
The good news is that all who repent and place their hope in Jesus will receive His righteousness and be raised with Him to newness of life.

For every follower of Jesus, knowing Him and the power of His resurrection should empower us to:

• Sit with God and speak to Him in prayer
• Sit with God and listen to Him in reading His Word
• Remove things that consistently distract us from rejoicing in His love
• Let what we say and do be in accordance to His living purposes
• Learn His Word and do what it says
• To not live the resurrected life alone
