Be still, and know that I am God – Pastor Kwame, Campus Minister
We’ve officially entered into a new month, a new season, and a new quarter. We are also approaching a much-needed break: Fall Break. God has been truly good to us. My hope and prayer is that you will enjoy some exciting family time, fun activities, and intentional rest.See you soon!
As you know, rest is vital for the mind, body, and soul. Yes, the soul needs rest too. I’ve mentioned this before, but we are all prone to be carried by the demands of life that we forget to intentionally slow down.
I want to encourage you to be intentional about making time for yourself and your family to pause and rest during this break.
More importantly, in your moments of rest, take time to reflect on the One who gives true stillness and peace. God Himself reminds us in Psalm 46:10, “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
Lasting rest is found in drawing near to the Lord, who is our refuge and strength. As we rest, may we be still before Him, may we treasure Him, and may we allow our souls to be refreshed in His presence.
Amen!
