Let’s Pray for Apalachee High School Community – Pastor Kwame
Many of us are aware of the tragedy that occurred this past Wednesday, September 3rd, at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia. This tragedy has left a community in pain, with more questions than answers. My heart goes out to those suffering during this time. As a community here at KHCS, let’s continue to lift up Apalachee High School and the community of Winder in prayer.
Let’s pray:
- That the Lord will be near to the brokenhearted. “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18)
- That God’s peace will surround all involved. “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7)
- That believers in the Winder community will be washed with God’s promises as they weep with those who weep and serve where needed. “For all the promises of God find their Yes in Him. That is why it is through Him that we utter our Amen to God for His glory.” (2 Corinthians 1:20)
- Though the community in Winder will never be the same due to this tragedy, let’s pray that God will restore the community with His love and presence. “And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.” (1 Peter 5:10)
Finally, let’s pray that the students and staff of Apalachee High will feel supported and heard while grieving.
May the Lord hear the prayers of His people.
