Matt Lewis

Matt Lewis - Guidance Counselor

Matt Lewis was born in Missouri. His holds a bachelor’s degree in math education and a Master of Science degree in secondary education. He has been teaching for fourteen years. Mr. Lewis is currently the head of the math department, the guidance counselor, and one of our math teachers. Not only is he passionate about teaching math and preparing students for math competitions, he also enjoys playing his guitar in chapel. He and his wife, Megan, have three little ones. Eden, Cade, and Arabelle. During his free time he enjoys reading, yard work and math.

Melody Lu

Secondary Math Teacher

Melody Lu - Secondary Math Teacher

Melody Lu was born and raised in China. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Middle School Education from Bob Jones University. Ms. Lu is passionate about bringing students to explore God-created beauty in Math and Science. She has an artsy family and a younger sister who is especially talented in arts and design. During her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, and talking with friends.

Antonio Manjarres

Antonio Manjarres - Business Director

Antonio Manjarrés began his career in Christian education and then went on to spend sixteen years in corporate America. Currently, he is excited to be serving the Lord as the manager of the KHCS Business Office. Within the business office, Antonio focuses on relationship building and teamwork. He and his wife, Jennifer, have two children, Jessica and Michael. Antonio enjoys everything about fútbol – watching it on TV, attending games, and he likes to get on the field to kick the ball around. His parents are from Colombia, South America and he enjoys sharing his culture with his family and friends.


Wendy Monroe

History Teacher

Wendy Monroe - History Teacher

Wendy Monroe was born in Creve Coeur, Missouri. She holds a Bachelor of Science in elementary education. Mrs. Monroe is an alumnus of KHCS and has served as a member of the faculty and staff here for over fifteen years. She has traveled extensively and weaves her experiences into her history lessons. She and her husband, David, have two children, Gwyna and Colin. During her free time, she enjoys scrap-booking and photography.

Sarah Munne

English Teacher

Sarah Munne - English Teacher

Sarah Munne was born in Atlanta, Georgia. She received her bachelor’s degree in speech education. In addition to teaching English, she also coaches students for fine arts competitions. Mrs. Munne enjoys spending time with her husband, Josh, and two sweet daughters, Jane and Gwen. She enjoys watching The Great British Baking Show, reading classic literature, and coloring with her toddlers.

Andrew Padgett

Secondary Science Teacher

Andrew Padgett - Secondary Science Teacher

AJ Padgett is a secondary science teacher from North Carolina. He recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in natural sciences with a minor in biblical studies. Mr. Padgett has approximately 550 hours of experience in laboratories and is passionate about teaching young people science and specifically how to defend their faith using evidence from God’s creation. In his free time, he enjoys classical music, playing the piano and french horn, eating tacos, playing soccer, and making dad jokes. 


Jill Parry

Music, Band, and Orchestra Teacher

Jill Parry - Music, Band, and Orchestra Teacher

Jill Parry was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. She attended a Christian elementary and high school before earning an undergraduate degree in music education and a master’s degree in horn performance. Before coming to teach at KHCS, Ms. Parry taught in Indiana where she was also involved with the girls basketball and volleyball programs. In her spare time, she enjoys watching the KC Royals and KU Jayhawks, playing sports, and staying caffeinated.

Kimberly Porterfield

Kimberly Porterfield - Elementary School Principal

Kimberly Porterfield was born in Atlanta, Georgia. She holds a master’s degree in education and has been teaching for over twenty years. Mrs. Porterfiled has an expertise in STEM that our elementary students greatly benefit from. She and her husband, Jon, have three children who attend KHCS, Ryan, Taylor, and Nicholas. During her free time, she enjoys reading and traveling.

Bené Pritchard

Bené Pritchard - Kindergarten Teacher Assistant

Bené Pritchard is our kindergarten teacher’s aide who grew up in Lawrenceville, Georgia. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a Minor in Psychology from Georgia State University. She has worked in Christian and public school classrooms for over 15 years combined. She and her husband Steve have two sons, Oran and Colton. She loves music, gardening, going to coffee houses, and spending time with her family.  


Heather Prussia

3rd Grade Teacher

Heather Prussia - 3rd Grade Teacher

Heather Prussia was born and raised in Georgia. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. She has been teaching for eight years. As a teacher, Mrs. Prussia loves to watch her students learn and master concepts and help them build confidence. She and her husband, Andy, have four children who are all students at KHCS. In her free time, she enjoys playing games, being outdoors, hiking, gardening, and eating chocolate.
