Carolyn Quillin - Librarian/Before Care Supervisor

Carolyn Quillin was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. She has a Bachelor of Science in elementary education. Mrs. Quillin has been teaching for over thirty years and has a cheerful manner with her students, whether in the classroom or on the playground. She and her husband, Jim, have three children, Stephanie, Matt, and Drew. During her free time, she enjoys scrap-booking and gardening.

Luis Roca - Facilities

Luis Roca was born near Lima, Peru. He moved to the United States when he was eight years old, and he grew up near Los Angeles, California. As a member of our maintenance team, Mr. Roca is often seen around campus keeping the grounds, repairing anything that is broken, and lending a hand to anyone who needs help. He and his wife, Christine, have five children, Christina, Adriana, Andrew, Stephen, and Haley.

Marcia Rygh - Paino and Flute Teacher

Marcia Rygh was born in Lebanon, Indiana. She holds a bachelor’s degree in music education and a master’s degree in piano performance from Bob Jones University. She has been teaching private piano and flute lessons for over thirty years. She and her husband, Steve, have four children – Kaitlyn, Collin, and Kristyn, and Connor who are all KHCS graduates. In her free time, Marcia enjoys reading and coffee shops.

Steve Rygh - Business Manager/Georgia Goal Coordinator/Health & Consumer Finance Teacher

Steve Rygh grew up in Downers Grove, Illinois. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and has been a CPA for over 35 years. Steve and his wife, Marcia, have four adult children who are all graduates of KHCS! In his free time, Steve enjoys spending time with his family, especially his six grandchildren. He also enjoys sports, running, racquetball, and tennis.

Connor Rygh - Elementary and Secondary P.E. & STEM/Language Lab/Weight Training

Connor Rygh grew up in Grayson, Georgia and was a KHCS student from kindergarten through graduation going on to earn his bachelor’s degree at Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. As an alumnus of KHCS, he is excited to teach physical education and coach students to use their lives for the Lord. In his free time, he enjoys sports, anything outdoors, and exercise. 

Zuly Sanchez - Business Office Secretary

Zuly Sanchez was born in Mexico. She is always ready to help parents with various questions in the business office as well as take stunning pictures of our students and events around campus. During her free time from school, she enjoys capturing special moments for others with her camera. She has three children, Richard, Abigail and Samantha.

Robert Sherman - Secondary Bible Teacher

Robert Sherman was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (and yes he is still a die hard Steelers fan!). He currently holds a Bachelor of Arts in Bible. Mr. Sherman has been teaching for over twenty-five years, all of which have been at KHCS. He and his wife, Lisa, have two children, Benjamin and Hannah. During his downtime, he enjoys working on model trains, golfing, and cheering on the Steelers!

Jacqueline Smith - Elementary School Principal

Jacqueline Smith grew up in Hebron, Ohio, and attended Northland International University graduating in 2013 with a degree in Elementary Education. After graduating, she moved to Guam where she lived and worked at Harvest Christian Academy for nine years. During her time in Guam, she taught fifth grade and third grade and earned a master’s degree in education. After five years in the classroom, she launched and ran the school’s Specialized Learning Center for two years. Upon returning to the States in 2022, Jacqueline enjoyed spending time with family and working in customer service and health advocate roles. In her free time, Jacqueline loves cooking, board games, reading, traveling, and taking walks with her dog, Eboni Rose.

Margaret Snyder - K5 Kindergarten Teacher

Margaret Snyder is from Greenville, South Carolina. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood education. Ms. Snyder is passionate about helping young children learn, especially teaching them to read books, and she loves giving them opportunities to explore God’s creation. In her free time, she enjoys running, gardening, and playing the violin.

Willie Taylor - Secondary Computer/Upper Elementary STEM

Willie Taylor was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in Olanta, South Carolina. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and a Master of Arts degree in Christian studies. For twenty- five years Willie worked in corporate IT before joining the team to teach and coach at KHCS, where he can not only teach his students academically but also teach them about the Lord and a genuine Christian walk with Jesus, following His Word. He and his wife, Michelle, have two children who are both students at KHCS. During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and doing yard work.
